Based on my experience with the Battlefields, I would like to see more random effects/events occuring inside the combat area. This could eliminate the tedium or boredom associated with repeated hacking and slashing. Or, if Larian does create a strategy/rpg game, include random effects or events in areas where the potential for tedium or boredom exists. This would keep things interesting, unpredictable, and also keep players on their toes. For players who prefer something else, perhaps provide an option in the settings menu of the game to turn off random effects and events.

In addition, force constant use of different strategies and tactics. Force the player to have to drastically adjust their decisions, techniques, strategies, and tactics at every turn, with every encounter. Create a dynamic, changing environment. Or create an intelligent AI and surrounding environment which adjusts itself to what the player is doing.

***The Point: Create gameplay features which will eliminate potential boredom in hostile and non hostile environments. Example: Potential boredom might arise in areas where the player is tempted to repeat certain combative techniques over and over again. ***
