Suggestions:

Divine Aid

- in battle

- in solving a quest

Divine assistance in discerning the hidden nature of items, objects, weapons, relics, and surrounding environment etc...
Not just for identification, but to see who owns the object, unveil the relevance of the object with unique quests, reveal lore and history, and/or trigger revelations to increase experience. Divining might also helps increase skillpoints and attributes, solve quests, and create effects similar or drastically different from what happens in mind reading....these effects could be positive or negative.

Divine assistance in the enhancement of existing items with powerful bonuses or creation of new items.

During dialogue, giving the player the ability to see through deception...if the player has intelligence at a certain level...

Include smart enemies which can shapeshift or who can adjust to what the player is doing...

Include a doppelgänger or duplicate of the player at some point who is several levels higher with the same skills and attributes...to fight against.

Include more alternative realities and different dimensions

Create an epic battle with an avatar, god, something like a titan or several gods, deities, and titans. Provide the player with the potential to have their skills, abilities, and attributes.

Create environments which shift and change constantly. Surrounding landscapes might change in response to the decisions of the main character. Runes of different shapes and sizes might be in the air. Symbols can be inscribed on the floor and walls. Spells can exist in a surrounding area. All of these could exert different positive/negative/neutral effects on the player character.

Replayability...Ideally, find a way to design the game so that every time it is played, it seems fresh, new, and dynamic. This happens whether the player chooses the same class or a different class.

Include more colors/effects related to the divine in some way...i.e...gold surroundings emanating bright light, halls and rooms which are gold in color emanating divine energy, divine light in different areas, white rooms emanating divine energy, etc....For the sake of visual balance, have environments which are the antithesis of the divine as well.

Had a similar thought, interestingly.

Suggestions are for future divinity games.

One yardstick I suggest for measuring game quality: If game developers find their own game interesting, stimulating, enjoyable, and engaging every time they replay it, then the gameplay is exceptional. If they thoroughly enjoy replaying their own games again and again indefinitely, the game is really good.
