I find myself tending to make the same choices! Igor's voice is annoying, though I think he also seems to have, er, "dependability issues"... The toughest choice for me was probably Hermosa & Kenneth: although I found Kenneth to be slightly arrogant, he still seemed a decent chap. And whilst Radcliff was certainly the better swordsmith, I just found Wesson and his wife to be eminently more likeable... But I still didn't like having to make the choices.
Then again I like to think that (getting off the point, so beware of spoilers, OP!)
most of the people on the island managed to escape the unpleasantness alongside Turgoyn, who safely got to higher ground, whatever the PC thinks about Henry & Eleanor's likely fate in FoV; and that most of the inhabitants of Broken Valley village got away on Sepp's Zeppelin, which is perhaps not entirely unreasonable since a few are known to have made it to Aleroth.
I obviously spent far too much time thinking about this stuff!
