My biggest gripe with Arcania is that it simply felt very unfinished. I gave up playing it pretty much at the same point the demo ended, it didn't seem very interesting.

Of the others, I've only played Gothic 3: not perfect, but I got a lot of enjoyment out of it, and in terms of its look and feel, not entirely dissimilar to Ego Draconis given that it's another Gamebryo-based game. The only real weirdie is the almost complete absence of women. It apparently had some real problems with bugs when it was initially released (I've seen claims that both the bugs and lack of women were caused by a rushed release schedule) but they were fixed soon afterwards and my own experience is that when patched it's very stable.
