Nobody mentioned how using bows takes most of the difficulty out of the game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Just make sure you find a hunting bow somewhere (needn't even be magical), and you're able to kill all but the most powerful of enemies (i.e. the REAL bosses, not those wimpy elite orcs, imp chieftains,...) in only a couple of hits.
Combine with poison weapon (not poison arrow) and splitting arrows for HAVOC.
I'm going to make a mage now, 'cuz the game was way too easy after I got my first bow (bought it from george <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> a long bow, I think it was)
BTW: I had 5 ranks in true shot, but I hear everywhere that doesn't work. This shows that the game can be completed with very little skill points <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
