Ok so I bought the digital version of the anthology on larian-vault and tried to download the english files 6 times and the german ones once. All these downloads generated errors like missing sourcefiles on the server. Naturally that lead to missing files during the installation as well.

Now does anyone other heve similar problems and is the server-file maybe damaged?

So far the english generated missing stuff in the binaries 3,6 and 9 the german one only in 9 (which seems to have videos in it).

I already wrote to the larian support email but the mailer demon returned it with the hint: mailbox of the user is full........ Not so pleasent on a support email.

Any advise on how I may download the undamaged files?

Maybe the server was in the middle of updating, or something? Were the errors the same for all the attempts to download the English version?

I'm downloading D2:DC now (the music zip files downloaded fine), though of course not from the same Edgecast server you would be connecting to.

I was able to download D2:DC from the Larian Vault and install it without any errors.

How soon do you get an error about missing source files on the server? You could just try again; enough time may have past by now for any updates to finish or corrupt files get replaced.

Alternately, I created some QuickPar recovery files which could be used to fix minor corruption: par2 file (59 KB), 3 recover blocks (8MB). After installing the program, download the par2 file and extract it into the 'Div2DC_EN' folder where you downloaded D2:DC. If there was only minor corruption in each of the 3 files that gave errors, you may be able to download the recovery blocks to repair the files. More likely there will be more than minor corruption. Let me know how many recovery blocks are needed, and if practical I can create enough recovery files.

Thanks for the work but apearently my PC is the problem. After 11 tries I did it with my laptop and viola. First one and no errors.

I have absolutlely no idea why that happened with my PC since it's the same connection only cable and not w-lan. Anyway everything seems to work no matter how mysterious those transmitting errors through the same router might be.

Maybe the network cable is damaged. I'll check that soon but thanks anyway.

If it isn't an issue with the cable, there could be a problem with the hard drive or RAM in the desktop. None of those problems should cause server errors, though.

Glad you finally got the anthology, anyway.

We've had similar problems five or six years ago here in the office. Some computers would mess up data that was transferred over the network. Internet or local network. Turned out to be a driver issue with some network cards. So maybe it's as easy as that, but as Raze said, corrupt file transfer can have lots of possible causes...

I'm having the same issue. After d/ling the install files, I get a file corruption error during installation.
