Try copying the problem files from another optical drive, or another computer. A different drive may be better at reading errors on the disk.
Do you know anyone else with the disk version of the game, that you can borrow the Play CD from long enough to install the game and make a copy of the disk (or those rar files)? Alternately, once you get it working you can compress the entire Divine Divinity folder and back it up to DVD, or something, and reinstall the game in the future by extracting it from that backup.
One person was able to copy a problem archive off the CD and use Winrar to fix it.
What happened when you tried ICE ECC?
I don't know if the rar files are the same between the German and English versions of the game, but here are some
ECC files for the automaps.rar, sound.rar and wizf.rar files. Assuming a reasonable number of recovery blocks are needed, I can upload more ECC files so that you can recover the rar files off your play CD.
