I never went through the ground due to a fall like in the video, but did three times in D2:ED using Rush Attack up or downhill. In one case, Rush Attacking down a slight incline by the quarry, I was able to run in the downhill direction and popped up above ground again; the other two cases I just reloaded a recent save.
