Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) General How does one split stacks of items?

Hello all, first time poster. My question (as the subject states) is how do you split stacks of items? I have collected mass amounts of potions and other consumable items, and it's gotten to the point where I can't pick up much loot without becoming encumbered. I want to dump off some of these extra items for future use, but unless I'm missing something, it seems you can only pick up or drop entire stacks of items. Highly annoying. Open inventory
drag items out, before you hit the ground press CTRL
pop up window comes and you can separate (like in the trading window, if you want to pay)

Raze explains it like this:
Drop items on the ground, then drag them into your inventory and hold the control key down before dropping. This will bring up the split stack pane, which will let you specify how much items to drop into your inventory.

Many thanks. That's probably about the only thing I didn't try.
