I just bought Divinity II from Amazon.de so that I could get the German version and when I go to update I am getting this infamous little gem:

Before registering with the forums, I have obviously read through reams of posts of people having the same problems. however, I never read nobody offering no solutions. So if there are any solutions to this problem out there I would love to hear them.
I bought the game after liking some things I read, but having checked the performance of the unpatched game i can safely say after a quick 5 minute run-around, with a locked 30 FPS, and horribly jagged animation, that I will never play this game so long as it runs like this.....so the patch is greatly needed.

I am on windows 7 x64, with a Rig that can practically Max out Crysis 3 (this is not the fault of my hardware).
