Personally i always thought they would add orcs in as a dlc if the game was successful enough to justify it. Like after the main game an orcish horde from across the sea is threatening Rivellon which would warrant using all the resources you accrued in the vanilla installment for a final hurrah and an as an epilogue for the evils to come.
