Fairy companions suck.

Unless they're Gabriel Belmont's fairies then they actually have some use in combat and aren't annoying. Also they don't talk which is a plus.



Or replace the typical fairy interpretation of today with a mischievous one and then they won't suck.

Maybe a mischievous fairy, manipulative or something like that. Maybe something like Friday, from Landstalker, but no so childish.

definitely want non humans, as i hate playing as a human.

I'm not sure how exactly they have/will implement allowing male/male female/female parties, but surely all that's actually required is swapping round some pronouns etc? And maybe if some npcs react differently to men and women then you won't see both reactions on the same playthrough. In which case, I don't really see what the problem is or how it will affect the story in any way...
