Am I the only one who's sceptic about the "house" concept rather than the alternate dimension thing?
Housing seems to be the new "must have" feature in RPGs. But the uses for housing tend to boil down to "easy access to your personal crafting slaves/equipment" or "place for packrats to unload their junk" (or collecting all the henchmen you don't want around but can't get rid of either), easy access to $random_major_city and containers that don't lose their contents pretty much invalidates both of those uses.
I don't (usually) mind housing if it's around (the keep in NWN2 was a bit...annoying) but I consider it the least interesting stretch goal by a fairly large margin.
* as usual this is imho (unless stated otherwise); feel free to disagree, ignore or try to change my mind. Agreeing with me is ofc also allowed, but makes for much worse flamewarsarguments.
