I was going to ask this very thing today! But I tooootally agree on this part. Stuff like that made DD stand out in the greatest way possible and I loved it

Both of these need to make their returns. Since all Divinity games thus far have had the stat comments, it seems likely that they will return for Original Sin. I have we see a return of the trophies. I want to know how many monsters I have killed by the end.

Yes, I completely agree with this! Hilarious comments about how dreadful you are in the first levels are always a nice touch ^_^

I'm imagining that you'll have a performance record of sort in a diary in the shelter plane homestead. Like, how many skeletons have you killed with side comments therein.

Seems silly to have to interact with some book just to view your trophies especially since it would mean teleporting to that plane. I'd prefer it like how it was in the first game if it returns at all.

Yes indeed, it was very easily accessible..
Take the formula from D1 and add also some snarky comments about how many skeletons you have killed (for example, when you near skeletons scatter in fear of their...life ,since you took so many of their brethren)

I wholeheartedly agree, the comments added a lot of soul to the game.

I'm looking forward to the comments of the epic trunks of intelligence....

I always loved the way Talana commented my actions in Div2. That was a very nice and atmospheric idea. And not to forget Lilarcor, the talking sword of BG2. Hm, good times.....

Yes to all three questions!

A lot of our "decisions" are just ripped from Divine Divinity. The answer to a lot of questions is "how did we do it in Divine Divinity?" And then we check if it still makes sense.
