I was wondering the same for quite a while... Though Kick does one thing better : add-ons. And the ability to spend those cool evenings in the comments section. But isn't the Kick cut something like 5%? Is it worth the little more visibility? Some devs explicitly said they prefered Paypal (eg. Dreamatrix) once funding reached... But I suppose no word from Larian concerning this means they prefer Kickstarter.
Wouldn't it be possible to implement add-ons with Paypal btw? Or simply to give more than the rewards amounts? I mean, I don't care about naming a pet etc. and would rather go for the 95$ reward + the fan day than the 250$ max Paypal pledge. Or give more than that without considering add-ons. Although, I understand that most of the support comes through Kick anyway so it's not essential. I know there are virtual prepaid credit cards, but there are more fees than I think it is worth (if someone knows one fees-free and easy to use, though, I'd appreciate the information...).
