I was wondering the same thing as OP. I want to support the actual developers as much as possible. I have just recently been introduced to Divinity. I was looking for an old school RPG on Steam and almost picked up Baldor's Gate when I read a thread on Steam with some people claiming Divine Divinity was better. I'm not here to argue or debate that notion but nonetheless I wound up picking up Divine Divinity instead and I've been blown away with how amazingly fun and addictive the game has been.

I'm 56 hours in right now and when I looked up the website and seen that Original Sin was being made and they had a Kickstarter I knew I wanted to contribute. I haven't just yet and I'm pushing close to the deadline but I'm thinking I should be able to get a $65 pledge in between bills. In my opinion the only thing that I felt was missing in Divine Divinity was a party of likable characters, something that seems they're looking to do in Original Sin. Even if it's just two characters that's better than running around by yourself all the time.

TLDR: I'm a recent Divinity addict and I too was wanting to know how to best get my money to the developers. Looks like Kickstarter is the way to go.
