So I understand Larian is a pioneer when it comes to new ideas in games, the animal empathy is something very few games have. My idea is if they will have the funds to make npc schedules why not have it with animals to. Wolves will hunt deer eat them and then rest, scavenging animals can pick the rest of the carcass. Why not also improve the variety of animal life to, have big cats, large grazers and unique birds. So with animal empathy you will be like The beast master love that. http://browse.deviantart.com/art/Lion-Battle-2-30222269 This might be cool to

Animal empathy is really a great thing. Maybe you could hire an animal as a henchmen. It would really like to.

* as usual this is imho (unless stated otherwise); feel free to disagree, ignore or try to change my mind. Agreeing with me is ofc also allowed, but makes for much worse flamewarsarguments.

It is a full moon night and ... bèèè! ... the Weresheep are out...

I hope someone does a pure animal game with the modding tools. And every time they tuck their offspring into bed you'd faintly hear the nursery rhyme:
"Soft kitty, warm kitty
Little ball of fur
Happy kitty, sleepy kitty
Purr purr purr"

I see you like Cats Arhu why not recommend to the good Developers of Larian to have big cats to maybe even a Lion called Simba Any way good animal variety is just as important as enemy variety i think, makes the world feel alive and it would be nice to see what kind of new animals they could invent

A good way to use empathy widely would be for instance the possibility to try to reason and convince predator animals to not attack you when you encounter them. I see you like Cats Arhu why not recommend to the good Developers of Larian to have big cats to maybe even a Lion called Simba Simba in D:OS? Go for it Larian! Another nice thing would be new invented animals. Hey, its a fantasy world and i want 2m high ferrets | | |

Nice poem Arhu and I like yours ! Is it true I read something in a KS update about the possiblility (or ability) your character can SPEAK with Animals ?!? I hope it is, sounds really great and can open new paths ... I love to have my own kitty in the game who lay on the food of my bed when I go to sleep And I can even use the cat, name it ...

The song text is from "The Big Bang Theory". And yes, it's really sweet.

I hope it isOne of the gameplay videos showed a dialog with a cat; when they asked it about itself, it replied (as best as I recall) "I'm a cat. You can tell by the way I am minding my own business. Unlike you."

I really hope wolves aren't an enemy by default. Killing wolves in games always makes me sad, particularly when they're really easy enemies.

Yep, that's a feature. You can talk to animals and they'll have all sorts of things to say. And by the way, yes, we should totally have Soft Kitty in the game! And have Kaley Cuoco sing it. Stretch goal?

Related with the topic, how about putting David's shepherd in a possible animal faction quest? For example, a dog adopted as a watchdog seems to be depressed because he misses his former job of herding so much. In a near or the same village, a wheresheep is unhappy with the current treatment of his/her friends from human and their dogs. While the weresheep is scheming for claiming independence from human rule for sheep "community", he/she also cannot but admit that his/her friends are rather "meek" for such plan. So, as one of possible solutions, the protagonists can recommend the shepherd as a "diplomat" between human and sheep. For, somehow, the weresheep can communicate with the dog and the protagonists can convince him/her into believing the dog is a "nice fella," compared with other dogs which humans tried to "force on them." Also, since the dog cannot speak any human language, his/her secrets are secured. Even if the dog favor sheep a bit, humans won't find it out, either. The weresheep can be happy with the idea that it's actually animals who are exploiting.
