Why so hostile? LC just stated how he saw things and you obviously misunderstood it, big deal and certainly no reason to start attacking each other by ranting about derailing and needing attention.
Btw even if he hadn't (and I'm pretty sure he actually did) LC might as well have started the WoOS thing, he's certainly done enough to further it that it would hardly be an idle claim.

I did not misunderstand him, I hate this "do it my way or not at all" kind of attitude, i.e. I won't participate if it isn't run the way I like. I prefer to be democratic.
Not to mention his constant back forth, "I want a reward, now I don't, now I do, but it has to be what I want which is the dancing weresheep for $666. Or something else, just not an item". Ridiculous.
This lead to a derailing of the thread which really makes me mad, because Larian needs as much cash as they can get. And people will only participate in a fundraiser if the get something for it, even it is a small worthless weresheep branded item. And don't misunderstand me, everyone should get the item, not just those who participated in the fundraiser.
I did read the entire thread (it's not exactly long enough to start skipping posts) before posts started getting edited and I stand by my reaction, LC tried to explain the same thing in multiple ways until you understood what he meant. he tried to give examples which you took as actual demands instead of what they were: examples. Arguably he did a pretty bad job explaining as it took a lot of back and forth. Personally I thought it was rather clear that he didn't want a physical reward but more of a "gesture", something I can agree with fwiw.
I will agree that his opening post and general tone on the subject could be seen to have a rather confronting tone. I guess I deal with hackers (
in the *real* sense of the word) more often than most do so I am rather less sensitive to this kind of bluntness than most others.
I do think it is his full right to state that he won't support something he disagrees with, that only sounds like common sense to me. It's not because the faction I voted for lost that I'll suddenly agree that the ones that won are right.
All beyond 666 should go to Larian for just making the game better no strings attached.
I argue that it will stop dead at $666 though, and larian can use all that they can get. But that is up for debate, I certainly will not threaten to not support a fundraiser if my recommendation is not accepted. That is LordCrash's tactic. lol
I dare say he is entitled to his opinion just like you are free to disagree with him.
Just for the record (and to not dedicate this entire post to "drama") I already donated an amount that has money "fall off" due to not being enough for a next tier up nor for any addon rewards.
Altruism isn't entirely dead (though the news might often lead you to believe otherwise)
I think Larian sorting this out would be a good idea indeed.
If it will work, then Larian has to figure it out themselves. We can of course give them some ideas, but that is about it.
It is impossible to work something out if a certain person dislikes a recommendation, and threatens to not support a fund raising because of this (yes, I mean you LordCrash).
I would appreciate it if you would stop the ad-hominems and sort stuff out with LC instead of driving a bigger rift between you two. If neither of you wants to do the latter then I'd at least appreciate the former.
