I was wondering if and when physical preorder will be available on the Vault, and if there will finally be that boardgame collector edition.

The boardgame is not looking likely at this point; a decision about the collectors edition will be made by April 22nd.

Probably not happening - not enough time before the July 2 release, maybe not enough backers to make it worthwhile. If it is, they'll only do it if they've got some kind of worthwhile new content to add on to make it appealing to those who already own the game.

It's probably the right call too, because announcing a board-game version now could just cause havoc with the Kickstarter pledgers who upped to get the Dragon Commander digital version.

Yeah, I too think it's probably the right call but it saddens me nontheless. With that being sad though...

Know this, Larian. I know for a fact that Angry Joe is like the biggest board game geek ever (well not really but he loooooooves them and has a ton of them!). If Swen hasn't already charmed him to oblivion with Original Sin you could toss him an edition of the boardgame and he'll go apeshit for sure!

Plus I do hope the fanday people will get a chance to take a look at it. That's always fun.

I'd be fine buying the boardgame separate from any sort of collection edition. Would have to since I'm one of those $65 dragon commander backers.

Seriously, it's nonsens, DC has nothing to do with the Kickstarter campaign, that's for D:OS !
Like others say, it's a sad thing no board game is coming, but "mentioning a board game in the past" make many gamers very curious and looking to see a glimp of that board game ... and now ... nothing ?!?

Well, I get your point and don't expect too much, though as Raze said a decision would have been made yesterday, I asked to see if there was going to be some official reply. I would understand if there's not, but I'd also be disappointed -a boardgame. That's something. Unlike the vast majority of the pseudo-collectors we get these days (especially 'Digital Collector', no peculiar publisher(s) aimed at).
