It's one of the most (in)famous puzzles in a game ever afaik.

It's from "The Longest Journey" a true classic in the Adventure genre. The 3rd game in that series got funded on Kickstarter recently: Dreamfall: Chapters.

* as usual this is imho (unless stated otherwise); feel free to disagree, ignore or try to change my mind. Agreeing with me is ofc also allowed, but makes for much worse flamewarsarguments.

It is a full moon night and ... bèèè! ... the Weresheep are out...

A true classic you say? I find it extremely doubtful that any non-RPG game can be a classic.

I think we sort of strayed from the main idea of the thread a long time ago and that was about item combos.
Id like combo weapons such as a metal pipe plus lenses to make a telescope, this can be used to make a scoped crossbow.
Or how about using the nails on a shield to create a spiked shield.

You may have spoiled the Hint about the Weresheep for all of us here! That key might open the Secret Dungeon where the Weresheep reside. ;-)

I highly doubt there will be plastic levers and air tanks in Original Sin!

Uhm I think that there will be also combo of three elements (and maybe much more!), look for example at this image...

With a log of wood and a knife you can create a doll, than you can combine the doll with needles(?) and you obtain a woodoo doll.

I suppose there will be a lot of fun with this crafting system! laugh

I remember Arx Fatalis were you could bake apple pies from scratch. you could even add some wine to it to spike the pie.
It had no effect on the game, spiked or not, except that you got hitpoints back.
But the baking was fun and reduced the clutter of apples, water and flour in the looting bags smile

I just ticked off a bit the blacksmith for abusing his fireplace for a baking stove. But nothing what a spiked pie could have fixed ;p

Ideals are like stars. We might never reach them. But we can set our course by them.

We're entering the territory of Minecraft and Don't Starve here, which in certain creative respects probably is a good thing, but some craft-anything moderation would be well advised. smile

It will be a pain in the ass for Larian to make all these "crafting recipes" work, and if they would add almost all the mundane stuff, and make that rather complex too, twe would miss out on fun RPG-stuff, if I over-simplify my objection.

I got Comment 33,333 at the legendary Larian KS for D:OS
