Hi,
I recently got the desire to play Divinity 2 again, so I installed the main game and the Addon. After that, I installed the FOV2DKS patch and started the game.

Now a message poped up saying the physxcudart_20.dll is missing on my system. After I clicked ok, the game started without any problems.

Well, I played some time, had some fun slaying chickens and rabbits but after I finished my initiation in Farglow and the next area was loaded, I found myself on the desktop with the same message on the screen. The game was still running in the background.... It's a little bit annoying if that will happen anytime I load a new area, so...

Any ideas or suggestions what I can do to solve this?

Thanks.

Yes, re-install PhysX. Even if you have ATI card.

Also, rather than having to install D2:ED, FoV and the conversion patch, you should email support to get an upgrade to the Developer's Cut version of the game (see here for details).

Hi there
got the same problem here. Just installed the game for the fist time and got that error message. I tried to install the PhysX again, but after agreeing the the Licence I only get a popup with "NVIDIA PhysX Setup", a little picture with a N and a greed dot atop and a text saying "Text" next to it. Nothing happens. I have been waiting now for over 10 minutes for something to happen but nothing happens. I can cancel the installing without a problem and the program responds immediately, so I dont think it got clogged up or something... Any help here???
Thanks in advance!

Are trying to installing the PhysX drivers from the Divinity 2 support folder, or the latest version from nvidia's site? Or have you tried both?

Did you try rebooting and shutting down all non-essential programs (like anti-virus programs) before trying to re-install the drivers?

If you make a shortcut to the setup program (right click, Create Shortcut), then right click it, select Properties and add a space and /quiet at the end of the 'Target' line, the setup program should then install without any user interface or license agreement coming up.

If nothing else works, you could try downloading a copy of the dll file (see here).

Hi Raze
ok, downloaded PhysX from nvidia directly. uninstalled and installed it. Rebooted. Didnt work. Actually I do not understand the instructions for the second help 100% so I downloaded the file from your link and copied the file to the windows folder system32 as mentioned. Didnt work, the message still shows up. The game works now and also loads when changing the setting, but once in a while it crashed (or rather freezes)...

Try copying the dll to the D2:DC 'bin' folder, as well.

Did the setup from nvidia install properly, but the game still gives the error, or did it also have a problem?

For the 'quiet' install that bypasses the UI (if required), in Windows Explorer you just need to right click on the PhysX installer and select 'Create shortcut'. Next, right click on the shortcut and select Properties; in the window that comes up, in the Shortcut tab (which it opens to), there is a 'Target' text box listing the full path to the setup program, in quotes. If you click at/near the end of the text box and use the arrow keys to move the text cursor to the end (if required), you can hit the spacebar and then type in /quiet and hit the OK button. When running the PhysX setup from the shortcut, it should then skip the UI, which will hopefully avoid whatever the problem was when you tried to install it normally.
