Everything done by fans in their free time is ok with me.... It's great that you made a vector version of our logo! (but I still prefer the original blood splashes, they fit more to the style of the sheep imo.)

Well if you can point me to the splashes you used, I can see what I can do with them.

just my two cents since i saw something like teamspeak..there are WAAAAY better and sometimes free alternatives..
will comment more later.. still kaput -.- no not from party, -hernia acting up- Of course. Teamspeak is just the obvious example of which everyone knows what it does. Mumble is way better than TS and fully Open Source and stupid easy to set up on a server (been there done that). Concerning Wordpress, I've been hearing lots of reports about security issues with it lately, while I'm not against it (my blog is on Wordpress, but I don't host it myself so security is not my problem) I thought it worth mentioning. Now things that I feel would be especially useful would probably be a calendar of sorts, if we can use iCal or something to "watch" it that'd be cool and an RSS feed for news so we can see when stuff happens without having to visit the site all the time.
* as usual this is imho (unless stated otherwise); feel free to disagree, ignore or try to change my mind. Agreeing with me is ofc also allowed, but makes for much worse flamewarsarguments.
It is a full moon night and ... bèèè! ... the Weresheep are out...

Security shouldn't be a great issue for a fanpage, we have no hidden or secret information there (apart from e-mail adresses of users at the maximum perhaps)....

Well the typical problem is people use the same password/email for various websites. I strongly suggest you store the password as a sha256 string (and not the original password). The old crypt routine is rather weak and from a security perspective considered 'broken'. Emails - well that's up to you - I can see the convience of it but whatever...
Oh - and you should use ssl for passwords. This in itself is not totally safe because if the fansite is hacked and an trojan installed they can still capture the plain-text password before the match but it would be a step in the right direction.

Yes MUMBLE is WAY better and I will leave the tech details to you guys, but I am hereby proposing a gamenight/lanparty/BBQ-party whatever somewhere in the future.. all in favor say AYE! FYI, for the steam users we can always group chat in woos as well, didn't know that so thought I would post it here

http://mumble.weresheep.net/ # WIP - goal is to use 'mumble.weresheep.net' as mumble server, and to have some plaintext instructions on how to connect if you point your browser at it, in stead of your mumble client. EDIT: I seem to be able to connect to the mumble server. Be my guest EDIT 2: Yes, it will complain about certificate stuff. Will look at it when I have the time. (If you feel compelled to do so yourself, don't hold back ;))

Mumble? I must be getting old, I haven't heard of it. Thanks for proving my point that people know what kind of software I'm talking about when I mention teamspeak instead of mumble (Anyone still remember roger wilco? )

Cheers for the link. To be fair I don't know Teamspeak either, seeing as I don't play online games I do remember Roger Wilco though as it came bundled with a few games, then later GameSpy bought it out or something like that.

Is this whole voice story that important? I never used teamspeak or anything like that before and I don't see the point of using them here....

Do we know if D:OS will have built in voice chat? If not, then something like mumble would be nice. When I play online with friends we use Skype. Easy to set up a group, and I find the quality to often be better than Steam or ingame voice chat.
Liking the idea about a website for us weresheep, can be a nice way to coordinate as not everyone will use Steam.

@krist2 Steam -> voicechat other versiony -> I don't know but VERY probable
It would be a big letdown if D:OS didn't have a built in voicechat...

Tried the Steam voice chat several times with friends, but none of us liked it. So we now use Skype. Didn't like the quality on the Steam VoIP, and it quite often fell out for us. edit: sorry for OT..

i agree krist, it's doable if you don't have any other way but voice quality is SOSO..which is nice is raidcall,if anybody knows it?you also have a dj function so all can for example listen to same music, stuff like that

The site could serve a purpose for sure, but I'm just a bit concerned about it being as empty as the OOoE one after a while (just ask LC). Much depends on how active this particular group will actually be - I think a poll or something similar would be in order to gauge interest from WoOS members.

But I think the potential is there since this game has co-op, and many of us weresheep want to play the game with each other. And also the modding could use a place were one could discuss ideas. Already a modding forum here: http://weresheepmodforum.freeforums.net/index.cgiand that could perhaps be incorporated into the new wordpress? weresheep site
