Do we know if D:OS will have built in voice chat?
If not, then something like mumble would be nice.
When I play online with friends we use Skype. Easy to set up a group, and
I find the quality to often be better than Steam or ingame voice chat.
Liking the idea about a website for us weresheep, can be a nice way to coordinate as not everyone
will use Steam. Problem with Skype (and TeamSpeak and Ventrilo) is that they don't auto adjust the background volume when someone's speaking, forcing you to either massively lower the volume or turn sound off entirely, both of which are sucky options imho. Mumble does have a good option for adjusting background volume making it win any contest between the alternatives by default in my book

well is it not the first d:os fansite? so if we build upon it should it not become the biggest ultimate forever unchallenged most great d:os fan site for d:os?

The site could serve a purpose for sure, but I'm just a bit concerned about it being as empty as the OOoE one after a while (just ask LC). Much depends on how active this particular group will actually be - I think a poll or something similar would be in order to gauge interest from WoOS members. The point of this thread is this. Thank you for pointing it out more clearly than I did. (Expect edits of this post, I'm catching up with the thread.  ) EDIT: I caught up. To reiterate LC, the voice chat is moot. Who can/wants to/will design the fanpage? What content will we have? Will this community stay alive? Those are much more important questions. If those things are sorted out, I'll install every friggin free voice server that runs on linux.  Now back OT please.

Umm Larian said on multiple occasion that the game will have built in voice chat so there's honestly no need to go via mumble, team speak etc.
Steam will have it's own chat also but again it's redundant since DOS will have voicechat..

Karathas: A world wonder! And if you can make some more and spare one, send it to Larian!  I reckon Larian would be over the moon to have that beer mug on the bar top at their office.

Anyone up and got the time for making a new site? If I recall correctly, someone wanted to do a wordpress site - keep me posted. The current weresheep.net site has seen no new members/changes since the fifth of May. Might be a good time now to have a nicer looking weresheep home. Also, add the links to the weeresheep merchandise on there; Make it a web shop for all I care. :P
