Hello everyone,
I've been playing for a short while now as the Male Warrior, automatically receiving level 1 in Sword Expertise and Augment Damage. In the early stages of the game (Player Level 3 or 4) I noticed that I had level 2 in both Sword Expertise and Augment Damage, without me selecting them. Level 2 in these skills isn't even available until Player Level 5! Has anyone else had this prob... bonus? Is it a feature of selecting the class?

Actually, it is a bug. But a nice one, wouldn't you say? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />
I could have been very happy not knowing that.
"Game over, man! Game over!"

That makes me feel better about picking those two less-useful skills earlier on...

And again at level 21, with a free point in Survival Instinct.

Damn how lucky you are I dont want to know if i could have had that same fortunate event occur seeing they were pretty early choices for my character in the early stages of the game

It happens regardless of your choices. I got extra skill points in the two skills I started the game with.

If it makes you feel better, I lost a skill point last night. I completed the missing fruit cart quest and was awarded a point in Identify, but I was already at level 5.

Okay. I'll have to recall that claim of receiving a free point in Survival Instinct. It's a feature of the Magical Shield I got from the armour merchant in Rivertown. Strangely, I didn't have to pay for the shield, or any of the other pieces of armour sitting in the corner. I picked them up, interested in purchasing it, and my character just stowed it in his backpack. The merchant didn't even raise an eyebrow when I sold some of the stuff back to him.
So I can kind of claim getting it for free. Not only that, I can remove the skill point at any time, allowing me to learn the skill at an earlier level.

that's what we call stealing <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
i like taking george's stuff in the beginning when he goes to show me his drugs.
i also have had the extra skill points at the beginning of the game, both times that i have started a game. i picked the male fighter, and upon reaching level two and opening my skills page i notice that i have two points in sword expertise and augment damage.
