Just wondering.. Is there anyway you can use a ("big") sword and a shield at the same time. I'm kind of a "shield"-man and i i'm a little stuck with maces, knives and small swords. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/puppyeyes.gif" alt="" />

You can only use sword and shield, if youre sword is 1H. If you use a 2H sword you need both hands to hold the sword. So you can´t hold the shield at the same time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Thank you. - but i've got the impression that not only the swords called something with "two-handed" is actually two handed. I havn't found one good sword that i can use along with my shield. argh. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

The most weapons are 2H, its right. Its reality. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Only "litle" weapos you can us with one hand. But you can also found very nice weapons that are 1h. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

With shield I'm currently using Fierce Partisan it has damage something like
50-110. It doesn't have any specialities so it sux in there and you can't do warrior special move. By the way how do you throw weapons?

If the weapon itself can be thrown it should show up in your skills list.

You could always go for a 2 handed sword and use something shield, it's a magic sheild that protects you by you casting it, I can't quite remember what it's called.
Also the holy sword is 1 handed. it can be quite good.

I say go for the dragon armor...its worth the time to find...then reload over and over until you get the holy sword in the wasteland to have frost on it

yes, hard to find any one hand swords that do a lot of dam. My mage is using a
short sword (I THINK I got it in the castle) with a lot of nice stat adj., incl.
a +6 int. bonus but it does not do a lot of dam. Being a mage, I use it to finish stuff off or melee lesser critters. Dont know what I will end up doing
with my alt. warrior character. The sword also has an ench. 4 rating so if ya
get four strength charms, It may actually be semi worth it for a warrior.

a warrior of the same level would do far more damage...keep that in mind...a mage will never do alot of melee damage

u can throw a weapon by dagging it out of ur invetory to a place on the other side of a bad guy. oh and in the wastelands u can get a long sword caleed the sword of the gods which, unless ur really unluckey it will have really good stats. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />
