An update would be just amazing, though the last one whetted my appetite for more DC news. At least it will fill the vast void we have until D:OS.

I'm also known as Tovarah.

An update although it is still the same youtube video for the DC interview on employees. Anyways, they are looking for female violin player. I don't know why they needed to look for a player in a specific gender since music is music. Maybe for PR purposes. I hope this will make the music epic or soothing depending on the atmosphere.

EDIT: Why do they need to apply if Larian could just PM fiddlers in Youtube, and ask for them directly if the rate for the music is acceptable and etc. It's better this way since I think they are at a rush.

I'm voting for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mF3DCa4TbD0 (Taylor Davis) since she might be an otaku (anime+video game geek term in japan).

2nd EDIT: Holy, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjwKId4kJYI now I'm a fan!

3rd EDIT: sorry, I just became a fan. Since this is relevant to larian looking for fiddlers, might as well post another one of her music. She made a music version in LoTRO (Lord of the Rings Online), so that's another selling point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shAAPrF-bYI

I'm still irritated that there is almost NO marketing for Dragon Commander atm. I was utterly shocked that it wasn't even listed in IGN's "big games" list for E3 (though Original Sin is on the list). I know that Larian doesn't attend E3 (at least I think so???) but it's still bad that it isn't even on the radar of many journalists... frown

No sign of it on Steam's upcoming games either. I would have thought it would be on there by now.

They did last summer. And you're right, it's said there's no publicity at all. They put all their resources in DOS kickstarter campaign and now that they're in the last weeks of DC there is apparantly no more time to remind the world of DC. And that would put last year's E3 to waste.

Three weeks and one day to go. So far no marketing, no website updates, it's not even on Steam's "Coming Soon" list.

Yes, yes, they're working on finishing up the actual game, I know.

However, Larian must remind people that it exists. They did amazing things with the Kickstarter campaign on very short notice, putting together a lot of cool things with only a small team. They can do really amazing things in a short time, I know they can.

At the very least they should take an hour or two to get the Steam page up and ask Steam to put DC on the "Coming Soon list".

EDIT: Too late, now it'll be buried under an obnoxious list of about 50 dumb "Magic: The Gathering" DLC packs.

I'm afraid of the lack of publicity of the game. As I've said before, the PR is dependent on the discussion between the forumers and its unique registers. We have nothing to discuss at all!

It will really hurt a lot and it might bear on the D:OS development. Even the beta farhang said is not even mentioned. I'm assuming he was drunk at that time and just spouted nonsense, but he gave us some expectations. They should withdraw that in an official statement instead.

Not entirely true, because.

Or am I wrong to think that Raze is a credible and at least semi-official source?

I don't know if I'd claim credible, but I am at least semi official. evil

I was told directly there would be a beta very soon, but that was a little over 2 weeks ago; either there were unexpected delays, or some people are pretty flexible about what they term 'very soon'.

You know how some people abuse the wording "soon" :P
Heck, for most companies it's a trademark

Hum. Lots of guesses but nothing official. Should we have a poll if July 2nd will be the actual release date and if there will be a beta between now and July 2nd ? Perhaps poll is the wrong term - er place bets smile

I would really like (as all of us would) something official even if it's letting us know it's going to be delayed. All this quiet making me nervous...

Well, I guess Larian decided to tweak the balance as considered in Swen last blog update. But that means to me that the release will be delayed. Or the release won't be delayed but there will be no open beta. But that would be a big mistake if you ask me....

I wonder why we don't get at least one(!) official statement on the current marketing status of DC from Laran. That's kind of weird to be a little bit "in the dark" three weeks before the planned release....

Why would no open beta be a mistake?
