Are your current testers all in roughly the same timezone? Or just all over the world?

There are at least a few all over the world (North America, Scotland, Switzerland, Russia... possibly a couple in Belgium), but then I only know about a few.

Yeah that will explain people having trouble finding opponents for MP play. Tricky balance between just waiting around in the lobby for someone to appear versus just getting on and playing against the AI.

I think it would be really helpful to make a keyboard map (printed or pdf) with all the shortcuts which are needed for the RTS part of the game. Will you deliver something like that for the final version?

I too have a lot of time. So I joined. Then I thought I have NO IDEA what I'm supposed to do when subscribed. That's when I left the group. Seriously I'll not join again until I know what that includes. And btw the larian vault is going crazy today. First a kind announcement not to link with the Kickstarter email because the system is still in beta, next no way to link at all! And yes, that was on monday (local time)!

Could you Larian guys give me a hint what would be expected if I did rejoin the 'I wanna be DC beta tester' ? I have no experience with public beta testing at all, and I don't want to regret my subscription a second time.

Well,I played for about 70 minutes now. Two matches, one against a single AI enemy (on easy) and one against Tovarah with one easy AI ally each. And both times I got seriously crushed.....

The game works fine so far and I haven't noticed major bugs or glitches during my little time of testing. But the balancing is insane. Even the easy enemy is almost unbeatable without using shortcuts or using certain strategies (at least for a strategy noob like me....)
But apart from that the game is fast-paced (in fact, very fast paced) and runs smoothly at 60FPS.

Flying with the dragon is very cool but atm I still don't know how to produce units while being a dragon and therefore the whole game can be lost while being a dragon.... :P

You play the game, and you make note of any feedback you have about difficulty, bugs, typos, broken skills, overpowered skills and such and report them back to Larian. It's not that complicated, and there explicitly is no non-disclosure agreement for the beta.

It's probably best to get used to the game and the optimum way to play before complaining about difficulty, because you'll likely start out terrible at first.

The Steam group would let people chat in Steam without having to individually add people as friends, primarily (I assume) in order to organize multi-player matches. There is a 'discussion' feature, as well (which are essentially Steam's game specific forums).

The Vault was hooked up to a test database so Larian could test the updates. Now that they are switching over to the real kickstarter/paypal database, the link feature was removed until they are ready make it public (there will be a kickstarter update when it is available). It is Monday in Belgium now, as well, but only 2am.

I will be doing some basic gameplay stuff tomorrow with Regnox. I was going to do it earlier tonight but then I was side tracked by LordCrash and some of the guys at Larian. So much fun, even when you end up getting your rear handed to you. Looking at you there Stabbey!

This is great news, Larian, I have a hotel room, six days of off time, a laptop, and free wifi, I would love to dedicate a good chunk of that to the Dragon Commander Beta
