Tarasis was able to get the beta running on a MacBook Pro, with graphics a couple classes lower than the official minimum (see
here).
People were able to run Divinity 2 on single code CPUs (don't recall the other specs), though that was a different game engine. In any case, if your graphics and CPU are both too low you could have problems even at lower resolution and reduced graphics options.
