@ ubereil, skeletons mostly aren't eaten themselves, but serve as a flavour adding device.
You put some (type of food; doesn't matter what in this case) in a bowl, but some bones in it, and it gets a delightfull taste.
Afterwards, the food is put in something like a skull, which is mostly just for show; besides, people can see how it's prepared then, so they won't be suprised.
