Level 32 is a little low, but it should still be possible to get through the Hall of Echoes.
Do you have anything left to do (flying fortresses to clear, etc)? You could reload a save before entering the Hall of Echoes and try to level.
What section are you having trouble with?
Have you lowered the difficulty, if you are not already playing on casual?
Are you summoning your creature for the human sections?
You can return to the battle tower from the dragon sections of the Hall of Echoes, but the only way out is to use the dragon stone, so you can not go anywhere else. You can make potions, get charms from the battle tower chest, get different dragon armour if you stashed any in the chest, upgrade enchantments, adjust your skills, etc.
NOTE: save in the Hall of Eches before trying this. Transforming to human and back to dragon should be automatic, but a couple people ran into a glitch where they didn't turn back into a dragon in the Hall of Echoes, and couldn't do so manually. That would probably be easy to fix with the Developer Mode, though, in the D2:DC version of the game.
