I could not test this yet after the last patch, but on recent games I found that if my A.I. ally captures one of the Resource/building points, even without a building of his on top of it, i can´t re-capture it.

That is terrible, because in one of my games the A.I. captured one of my nearest resource sites after it was destroyes and captured by an enemy. Then, I could not get it back, unless an enemy captured it again ( and then I could send my units there again to recapture it.

Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I think that you should be able to capture ANY free (without a building on top) strategic point, and not only the ones that are not your ally´s.

A more general solution may be some kind of resource sharing for allied teams, so that people doing comp-stomps don't have to try to divvy up a potentially uneven number of resource points between them.

The reason why they did this was to remove the possible exploit of recapturing capture points repeatedly, and repeatedly get recruits therefrom. If you've noticed by now, you can gain recruits by capturing capture points. You might as well give up suggesting this again.

Actually, it's not the mechanics that is at fault this time. It's either the AI or you that is at fault.

The game could give a bonus the first time a capture point is taken over, and then stop giving a bonus until after it is built on.

Or so you think that once you´ve captured a strategic point you should not be able to share/trade it with your team?

First of all, comp stomp is a co-op game against computers, or AI - since the AI is generally predictable, "Comp stomp" :P

I've had related issues with the AI, while they don't go and capture my capture points, all, the time... they do derp allot. I'd have one guy next to my allies captured points, he'd have more, when it's his (Because he has more) he'd turn around and leave with those forces. My one guy or so would then start capturing it, when it's white suddenly all his guys move back and capture it again, regardless of if I need it or not.
I'd notice that the AI in doing this would waste quiet a few minutes doing this.
I'll notice that the AI will go into your base and capture the turret pads if you haven't done that already, and now and then will uncapture your pads, and later capture that too.

One suggestion I suppose is maybe the ability to trade pads to your allies, but revoke capturing from allies.
