To be honest I like the concept of taxes just not the implementation (govt seem to waste a lot of money). I'm all for education and health-care - and for the most part I consider the military a necessary evil (though I was rather unhappy with our pre-emptive invasion of a country). Still I just assume set the salary of those in the senate and house of representative to match that of the average american - approx $42,000 - and call it a day - besides we could use the savings from their salary to let the military buy a few more of those $50,000 toilets they graciously approved.
