Wondered if anyone's tried running the beta on Intel integrated graphics and if it worked?

I'm away for the launch and the laptop I have with me only has the HD4000 intel intergrated chip in it think

Someone was able to get the beta running on a Macbook Pro (Nvidia 9400M) with reduced graphics and resolution (see here). The HD 4000 is better than the 9400M, according to google, so it may be playable. At the end of that topic someone mentioned getting 18 fps with an HD 4000 in low quality (didn't mention resolution, though).
There have been some optimization made to the game since that topic, but I don't know how much of an effect that would have.

It would also help if you are willing to go below native resolution.

Native resolution on this laptop is only 1366x768 so doubt I'd want to go much lower.

I guess the campaign map will probably be ok, it's the battles that will probably be the main issue.

If it meant running faster than a slideshow 720p would be worth it horsey

Yeah battles will be the issue for sure. Even on my desktop with a 7950 I dip down the 30FPS sometimes. I think it's not that well optimized and doesn't use 4 cores.

Hum. I wonder how hd4400 (haswel) will do.... I found a benchmark or two it seems that hd4400 is 10-15% faster than hd4000 and hd5000 is approx 30% faster (but most (all?) haswell laptops have hd4400. There will be an hd5100 (iris) that is quite a bit faster but I think it will be exclusive to desktop - power/heat goes up as expected.

I'll Find out once it's downloaded.

I'm sure my carrier loves the fact I've done a large chunk of the download over 3G/HSPA

At one hand, the card isnt that strong. At the other hand your native resolution is so low.. it might actually work out nicely
