Just hit the start of Act II where the larger world map unlocks. Game runs with no problem up to that point, but now whenever I enter the strategic map my FPS drops into the single digits and persists into the battle maps and conversation areas.

I've tried fiddling with the graphics settings and made sure my drivers are up to date. Any ideas?

Are you using custom Anti-Aliasing settings in your drivers?
If so, turn them off. If not and the issues persist, please contact support with the report.zip created by our support tool: http://www.larian.com/DDC_SupportTool.exe

and include a link to this topic.

Exactly the same problem here, no custom AA either.

Note that quicksave\quickload in the Raven solve the lag issue there, but giving orders on the strategic map is quite annoying.

Same problem here, but in rts everything seems fine, no custom AA. Graphic settings doesn't affect this issue.

Same as everyone else, no custom AA, was playing on ultra quality with no lag and now after I open the strategic map I lag even on lowest quality. It's also only for the Rivellon Heartlands map, every other 4-player map works fine in custom campaign.

This is the answer from support:

Hi,

This is a problem with processors with only 2 cores.
Could you confirm you have a dualcore processor?

If so, we are working on a fix for this issue in the upcoming patch.

Kind regards,

I really have 2 cores processor, so, we must wait for fix now. Hope we will get it soon enought =)

Yep, dual core.

I'm afraid I'll finish my first playthrough before the patch is out, if there is nothing after the 4 siblings phase.

But there's other princesses to try so it will be welcome for later smile

Same thing here. The game runs fine up to that point, but when i click the strategy map in the beginning of chapter 2, the framerate goes into a crawl at once and stays that way until i load the game. Fiddling with the graphics settings and so on does nothing to help. I also have a dualcore processor like other people in this thread (Core 2 Duo E8400). The funny thing is, the game ran fine on high settings before that point (the game itself started that way when i installed it, and i never had a reason to change any settings before chapter 2). Anyway, it's nice to hear you are working on a fix so soon!
