Greetings, everybody!

I have this issue as well and it seems like i have never changed difficulty from hard to normal. Now i am trying to reinstall the game, hope it'll help. Besides, the first save from story mode loads correctly (it has the same difficulty setting as one that doesn't work). Furthermore, i had a similar bug even before the last patch was released, but that time checking local steam files helped (steam concluded, that all files had been tested successfully, but still downloaded 30+ mb).

EDIT: Reinstallation didn't help, but changing difficulty from hard to normal did. It is said in patchnote, that hard difficulty was improved... maybe there is something wrong there?

oh yes i had the same problem. And change to normal then load the game did help.
i am just wondering, if i change the difficulty to hard again after i loaded my game, would everything be the same as before?

Wouldn't it be easier if the game remembered the difficulty level, the colors of the factions and all the details involved in loading a saved game, with no user input since it's the continuation of a previous play ?
