When I saw the D:OS Kickstarter project, I was motivated to contribute.
Perhaps I should have read the details more carefully. After reading them again today, I have a question that perhaps others can give me their opinion on the interpretation.
On the Kickstarter page for D:OS it shows:
"Coming to:" along with icons for Windows, Linux, Mac.
I chose to invest in a tier that included Alpha access.
However today, I noticed this in the FAQ:
Will this game be available for platforms other than Windows?
Short answer: yes, we want to have our engine run on Mac and Linux.
Long answer: We originally planned to make a Mac version. And once that runs, a Linux version is not far off. However, we pushed this back to focus on gameplay features. It is still something we want to do, but the Windows version will be released first. However, once the Mac and Linux builds are finished, they will be made available to people that have the Windows version.
To me, that seems to imply that the Windows version will be developed and only after it's full version release, will Larian start working on the Linux and Mac versions.
Is anyone else interpret it this way, or if not, how?
