It may be "one front" but he is attacking with transports often right? A good idea is to get iron clads to prevent him from attacking your territories. blockaid the seas where he has war factories as well so he can only attack you from that one direction, that way you can focus all of your forces on that one front.

I would restart and than adapt a very aggressive playstyle in which you conquer really fast the surrounding areas. Passive playing only corners you and makes the enemy overpowering. Maybe you could reload an earlier savegame, conquer every province except one, build a lot of gold mines and than collect enough money until you are pleased.

Than you take the money with you in the next chapter and buy yourself a big enough army to conquer the provinces and create a stable position to win the war.

I hope my ideas are helpful for you hehe .

Alastar, the enemy does not need to attack with Transports at the start of Chapter 3. You are surrounded on all sides, land, air and ground. Blockading transports isn't going to help - A) your navy is tiny at the start of Act 1, and B) the enemy will invade you by ground, not using Transports. You need to build your ground army up enough to hold the enemy off..

Nah, hoarding gold and units is...i dont know, its too easy. I mean, if you do so, you can just steamroll everything with no problems at all. Then i can put it on casual-difficulty just aswell^^

Well, had at least some luck - got a 2nd 75% off all airships card and built another 9 bomber balloons. Trying to push him slowly but steadily back without loosing units, which is really hard. Meanwhile my councilors are going "oh, do you want us to burn this little orphanage and make a grill party with the kids inside or rather loose a ton of gold?". Ok, that one was over the top and not actually ingame, but it is somewhat annoying to getting tripwired on every occasion^^ (and my generals could finally suck it up and work for free >.>)

Why don't you just hang and torture everyone? If it's good enough for your people it's good enough for Corvus!

A man is never truly a man until he eats a grilled orphan. That explains a lot.

Well apparently your kingdom isn't filled with much these days seeing as you ran out of the gold needed to hire troops.

Actually i fought my way through the a bit difficult times and now at +30 gold per round again. Blocked off east with bomber balloons and redirected land troops to the east. Then just turtled up for a couple of rounds, got a 75% off for naval units card and sealed off west aswell. A spine has a price, i paid it by having a hard start.

I find it funny though, how realistic this game shows, that the less evil you are, the more difficult it becomes to rule. Though the 86% motivation helped at defending.

I'm not sure how securing funding to raise an army during a time of war could be considered evil, if you're going to look at that way you are pure evil by merit of the fact that you basically just slaughtered 3 of your siblings and thousands of people all over a land grab.

Apparently it's perfectly justifiable to kill people if they hurt your feelings.
