Larian Studios Forums Dragon Commander Dragon Commander - Technical Problems Can't start any game mode

Hey,

I bought this game yesterday and just finished installing it--overjoyed to finally getting the chance to play this game--however when I try to start a game (either a Tutorial game mode, Skirmish, or any) the game simply freezes right as it enters the battle mode and sends me to Windows main screen. Anyone know what to do to fix this?

Apologize if this issue has already been posted and fixed before, I couldn't find it here in the forum but I will be happy to be directed to the right position.

So if you start a multiplayer or single player campaign, it is ok on the strategy map?

What version of the game do you have? The Steam version should be updated, though there is also preview available of the upcoming 1.0.55 patch. The Larian Vault, GOG, etc versions are at 1.0.40 (shown under the buttons on the main menu) with the current patch.

Yes! It worked! I changed my HD card on my laptop, that was all that I needed to do.
