okay i have finished now the main game and i have to say
Damian needs the player character alive to get to the Hall of Echoes;
this isnt really a good explanation
Accoording to the Last Dialouge between Damain and Ygerna, Damian had no clue about Ygernas plan to get ressurected by the Dragon knight,yes it worked in his favour and he knew the "reverse soul-forge" was a fake, but he believed the Dragon knight would want to enter the Hall of Echoes to DESTROY Ygernas soul, not ressurect it (if im not mistaken), so he WOULD want to Stop(kill) the dragon knight, which he fails miserably as described in my OP. And the loading screen tip to run away from damian even if there was NOT A SINGLE FIGHT OR CONFRONTATION AGAINST HIM is pretty much a stupid mockery ( i even tried to get to him via the gotocharacter command and it tunrs out it just placed me into the patriachs cave)
i hope the expansion will resolve things a bit better :/
altough i have to add at least they kinda foreshadowed
(if Zandalor outright telling us that she will be the deus ex machina counts as foreshadowing)
that whole thing with Ygerna
was a misception to revive her and unite Damian and Ygerna
so that it didnt come across like something the writers pulled out of their ***es (like some other Dei ex Machinas we have seen in the past from other writers)
