Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis questions about Developer's Cut

Hi guys, I just downloaded the Divinity2: Developer's Cut. I only played Divine Divinity before and skipped Beyond Divinity as I'm not interested in it after looking some screenshots. After I started my Developer's Cut, I saw 2 ways to stat new game: Ego Draconis and Flame of Vengeance. As I've read from google, they're 2 different games, I don't know which one is better and the differences between them. Can anyone please help me explain?
Also I have few questions:
-If I know which one is better, is it good idea to play that part and skip the other one?
-Is it possible to load same save file to play in both parts?

Ego Draconis is the original release / start of the story, while Flame of Vengeance is the add-on / end of the story. Start an Ego Draconis character and there is a seamless transition into Flame of Vengeance when you get to that point in the plot. The ability to start a new Flame of Vengeance character (at level 35) was for people who played the original release of Ego Draconis and who wanted to jump to the add-on rather than play from the beginning again with a new character.


BTW, there is a demo for Beyond Divinity (FilePlanet mirror). Unless you really dislike party based games, most of the time you can have both characters selected and direct them to move and attack as one. The character voices were redone between the release of the demo and the full game.

thank u Raze, yeah I just like control only 1 char, not party based game that's why I enjoyed DD and skipped to D2, didn't install BD even I had the setup file in Anthology folder.
