Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Technical problems invisible walls everywhere

I won Divinity II: Developer's Cut in a twitch.tv raffle for steam and after installing and starting it my character was running into invisible walls all over the first map i was placed in. I hit around a dozen traveling from the ship to the city gate. the middle of the city was mostly clear but on the path to the waterfall when returning to the city i hit 4 different invisible walls.

Is this a steam specific issue and is there a fix for it or shall i abandon all hope of enjoying this game?

There are places in Farglow that you can not get to (I tried unsuccessfully to jump over the wall in the training grounds area, for example, and part of the river was blocked off, as well), but if your character is within the game area (like on the path from the waterfall) they should not be getting blocked.

Have you gotten to Broken Valley yet, and have you had the same problems there?

im not talking about places i cant get to, im talking about finishing my conversation with the starting lady and running smack dap into a wall i cant see on my way to the town and hitting several of these walls which i had to find my way around as if i was in side of an invisible maze.

no, i dropped several settings to low and unchekced them now my game wont start. I'm currently reinstalling the game after completely deleting the folder from my computer to see if that can fix it since i cant change options without getting into the game i was pretty f'ed once it stopped working.

the more i read into that link and the other links you posted in there the more depressed i get as a gamer.

There are options that can be changed by editing configuration files outside the game, but a clean re-install isn't a bad idea, anyway.

It should be noted that topics with easy problems and simple fixes tend to have the fewest suggestions, so don't make great references when others run into similar problems (unless there are a limited number of fixes that generally work for a particular problem).
