Hi everybody,

I've got the GoG edition of the Dragon Commander and, when launching the combat mode, the floor textures appear black. I can't show you an screenshot because, for some reason, none of the screenshot utilities seem to work today, but it's easy to imagine: Just all the ground is black.

I have tried to update my graphic card drivers, directX, change game resolution and graphic settings, to no avail. Also, couldn't find anybody with this problem, so I'm kind of stuck.

I play in a laptop with these spects:
Graphic Card: Nvidia GeForce GT 330M
Processor: Intel i7 740QM
RAM: 6Gb
Screen resolution: 1366x768 (External 1920x1080)

I know it's a bit suboptimal, but I have played an awful lot of games here, and never had this kind of problem. Also, I play with an external screen, but I have tried without the screen, too, and still not working.

Does your laptop also have integrated graphics? If so, check the nvidia control panel and make sure the game is set to use the GeForce graphics (screenshot).

I assume your changes to graphics settings included texture quality?


Black texts of the earth during the battle - I'm sure there was a duplicate Steam discussion that went into a bit more detail with the solution, but I can not seem to find it... email supportdc@larian.com, with a description of the problem and a link to this topic, and they should be able to help.

Yeah, that's exactly my problem too. It's weird that a search for "Black Textures" didn't find that thread.

Anyway, none of the solutions posted there has worked for me.

Yes, I have changed the texture resolution, I have verified the local files, my laptop does not have integrated graphics, and reinstalling the game to a different location (C:\TEST\DivinityDC) or changing the user didn't work.

I'll wait until to Monday to email. Probably no point in bothering them in weekend.

Hi all, got the game over the weekend and I'm having the same problem. The screen shots in the thread mentioned


are exactly the same as what I'm seeing. I downloaded through steam, forced the installation in another directory as suggested and verified the cache and it's still all black. Quite disappointed as the the rest of the game is awesome and it's a shame I can't enjoy the RTS stuff as I would like. Playing on a PC which can handle other "graphic intensive" games quite well...

Any ideas?

Have you already emailed support? Unfortunately I have not seen any more suggestions for, or reports about, this issue.

One thing that can cause missing textures in some games is driver-forced antialiasing. I don't know whether that's an option in the current Nvidia control panel, but it's definitely there in ATI. Antialiasing should always be left on "application controlled" (or whatever equivalent the control panel has).
