The alpha should be released approximately on the 17th, depending on how long it takes to fix a couple issues with Friday's second build, possibly add some feedback functionality, and then upload it to Steam, make sure there are no issues with it and then distribute the keys and do a kickstarter update.
If they were done today, they wouldn't wait around until midnight to flip the on switch, so it will either be released some time Tuesday (the work day in Belgium starting in about 5 hours) or later in the week.
With the Dragon Commander beta, Larian released updates at different times in the day, including after midnight their time.
