Hi,

I have a sneaky feeling that you are using a similar engine to Dragon Commander, which is fine for the most part, but it leads to some unfortunate problems for the triple monitor community frown

The game is a mixed bag in terms of multi-monitor support, some of the UI is fine and centred to a 16:9 aspect ratio, others are scaled and stretched making them very large and cutting the top and bottom off them. The games 3D all renders horizontal plus, and in spite of some of the issues with the UI it can still be used so the game isn't completely broken because of it.

As you can see from the screens, the character profile pics and mini map aren't centred - I would ultimately love a modular/moveable UI like mmo's or even wasteland 2 has implemented such a system.

The tool tips for weapons and items in the inventory and in the world - as you can see they appear on the left monitor smirk

The game itself looks beautiful and scales well, but the main menu's are Vert- and making any changes once in you've selected the surround resolution impossible. This was the same problem with Dragon Commander. Dragon Commander has freaking awesome in-game triple monitor support, with scaling and UI placement, but all the menu's were vert- too frown

Can you please, please look into this - and implement proper multi-monitor support smile

Can you move character portraits and compass to the middle screen? That would pee me off in SWTOR when I played on 3 monitors until they made GUI/HUD cutomizable.

ofcourse, i think we all did.

And yes, Larian usually makes an engine and then uses it for all games they want to make that year. Thats why i think their engine is awesome in some ways.. i mean.. a turnbased rpg, third person dragon fps, rts and textbased gameplay all made in 1 engine? sweet laugh

but yeah, i myself aint using the game like that but i would agree that it would maybe look nicer if you could center and move some stuff

Hopefully we can get some feedback on this - and before anyone comes in here and says "oh, it wont be high on their list cause multi-monitor is a small market" - please, I know how big the market is, and it's bigger then people assume, but in saying that, I know bugs etc get higher priority.

I really would love to see a entirely moveable GUI, like wasteland 2 (indie) have created.

I hate when developers say they don't have the time and a modder creates a hack in less than a day.

Modder has no responsibility for that hack, though.

Yay!!! I'll take that as a fix :P All jesting aside, our community really appreciates the feedback and any/all attempts to have triple screen support working flawlessly. As you can probably appreciate you game/engine looks marvellous across 3 screens, so you can understand why it's important to have the UI functioning smile

Again, I appreciate the feedback and realise that the game is in a somewhat early stage, so multi-monitor support isn't the highest priority - but as long as you know the problem exist, and you are looking into it smile

cheers

Spoonie

Ps. If/when this is fixed, can the same issue be looked at for Dragon Commander - the main menu etc is Vert- (I did start a thread in the games forum as well smile

+1 I'd like to see this fixed too. I would classify this as a bug, too, because you can select a resolution (in my case, 7680 x 1440) that, once selected, breaks the game and you have to force close and manually change it back in the configuration file to be able to play again. Maybe alpha and beta players will put up with this, but not customers who expect a finished game.

Thanks for looking in to it, another eyefinity user here. Atleast theres some hope since you can edit the Graphics configuration file but it runs in windowed mode and some UI elements need to be more adjustable to work properly. Also when I tested this, the conversation text became invisible. :p

Hi, I'm hoping with all the changes and everything to the game (which is looking exceptional) that this is still on the list?? I just went in game and notice that the UI elements are still not moveable frown

Any progress in this yet, I saw your post on wsgf. Anyone working on a fix? Perhaps the modders will fix it after launch in a weeks time.

Oh man, I just loaded up the game - because I haven't checked since making the OP and it hasn't changed frown The minimap and character portraits haven't changed and aren't moveable. Unless the release patch fixes all this frown

Ok, So I just want to thank the devs for putting in the time to have the menu's and everything scale well!! I always appreciate when our community gets love, and I always try to share that love and tell everyone about the game (and even buy additional copies to give to friends). Hopefully someone will come up with a addon to move the minimap and portraits, and then the game will be flawless.

Thanks again, and grats on the release!

I can't get eyfinity to work. I only get a 1280 res and 1920x 1080 to pick. If i try borderless window it stretches the 1980 res over all three screens.
