After trying Dragon Commander on the same machine I noticed that it has the same performance problems like D:OS. On ultra settings I get 9-10fps and on very low I get 19-20 (very low looks indeed very low) so 19-20 on very low it's well... way to low. For comparison, in Grim Dawn on highest settings I get 19-20 and the game is reasonably fluid and in Torchlight II I get over 40fps.
So it looks to me that the rendering engine has some performance problems and it's not specific to D:OS.
My configuration:
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Service Pack 1
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)
Physical Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB
NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 RAM 2GB
