Wow, I'm surprised. They must be having some serious challenges with the schedules, that would be one hell of a thing to patch in. Obviously they'd only do this if they absolutely had to, as it wouldn't exactly generate the best publicity ever. Not that it bothers me much personally, at this stage I'll be waiting some time after release before playing this epicness anyway, I just hope it doesn't harm Larian's reputation too much if it has to be. We all know how the internet is such a haven of reason, consideration and patience, especially amongst gamers. It would be nice if Larian could make the most of the wave of publicity D:OS will create - I want more awesome RPGs from them!

Why did we stretch? that Original Sin already had contracts in place prior to the kickstarter, so the development extension to the 28th February was pretty much all the extra time they were able to negotiate.
Fortunately, it looks like they have at least a little more leeway with their retailers(?) etc, judging from the more recent tweet. Let us hope things go smoothly and that Larian's business associates are a lovely agreeable bunch if needed, and that they actually CAN be flexible with their shelf space and such things.
Godspeed Larian, I hope you catch a break
