Hi Larian Studios.

Problem...

1. When I start the game for the first time I'm shown a window telling me that it's alpha and I have the choice to accept or decline, I accepted.

2. Then the game shows me another window with what looks to be 3 options at the bottom, however all I see of the three clickable buttons is the top of the buttons, not enough of them to see any text on them <-- This is the problem.

I chose the first button which I could only barely click on since it's only a sliver of the top of the button that is shown to me. But at least it allowed me to play the alpha.

My system specs as I feel it's probably related to the oddball resolution that my monitor runs in...

Asus G46vw gaming laptop
8GB SRAM
Nvidia 660m with 2GB dedicated VRAM & Intel HD 4000 (it's one of these optimus systems)
Windows 8.1
Resolution: 1920x1200
Note I do not have the luxury to choose 1920x1080 which might resolve this issue but it seems to me that if I have issues with these first popup windows at my native res of 1920x1200 then I may also have issues in the game if the resolution I use is not accounted for.

The window that is cutting off the buttons (and is not resizable) that I'm talking about that only shows a sliver of the tops of the buttons is shown below in a screen shot:

Did you happen to change the default font size in Windows? I saw in another thread that this caused the buttons to shift downwards. Hitting return should launch the game, as the launch button is selected by default.

This issue is completely unrelated to the game (engine) itself, as this is just a windows form. That being said, some assets and some interface elements/behaviors don't always appear 100% correctly if you deviate from a 16:9 aspect resolution for now. Your resolution however is 16:10, which is pretty close, so I suspect that if something does seem off, it will still be 95% correct. smile

I don't recall changing the font size in Windows, although since my cataracts have gotten as bad as they are I may have done so sometime in the past. I'll have to google up how to change the font size in windows and see if I changed it and if so change it back.

Thanks, indeed that is what it was. I changed it back to small (default) and now the buttons show up correctly.
