Well total reinstall does not work. Still have exact same issues on this PC.
I5-2500k CPU
16gb DDR3
Geforce 660TI (latest drivers)
Win 7 64bit (fully updated)
On my laptop I am able to save just fine. I am also able to load games.
Asus G75 series
I7 3630QM
8gb DDR3
Geforce 670MX (latest drivers
Win 8.1 64bit (fully updated)
One thing I notice that is different is the save games files. On my win 7 machine it looks like this:
Larian Studios -->
Divinity Original Sin -->
Savegames (folder)
config.lsx
graphicSettings.lsx
In the Savegames folder -->
(savegamename) (folder)
In each savegame folder -->
LevelCache (folder)
savegamename.bmp
savegamename.lsb
Globals.lsb
In LevelCache folder -->
this one is empty
On laptop:
Larian Studios -->
Divinity Original Sin -->
LevelCache (folder)
Savegames (folder)
config.lsx
graphicSettings.lsx
In the LevelCache folder -->
Cyseal.lsb
In the Savegames folder -->
savegamename (folder)
In each savegame folder -->
LevelCache (folder)
Globals.lsb
savegamename.bmp
savegamename.lsb
In LevelCache folder -->
Cyseal.lsb
So there are some files/folders missing on my desktop PC. Only difference I can find between the two is the Operating System. All other things are virtually the same.
Maybe this might help to track down the issue?
***I copied the Larian Studios folder that is working on my laptop over to my desktop and tried to load a saved game.
Still crashed. Went back to take a look at the file system. The LevelCache folder was missing in the Divinity Original Sin folder. I tried to add it back in again and reload the game again. It is missing again. It seems that when it is loading this file is getting deleted....?
