I just wanted to report that the game performs much better for me after the last update It's now very playable at med (but with high character models and textures) with anti-aliasing turned on.
Same here, could play on pretty much maxed out settings now. The user interface (in- and out of game) still feels sluggish though, but I suppose that's a separate problem.
