Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity Original Sin - Beta Second playthrough - no ZixZax to be found

Long story short - Started playing with different characters:
1st play through was mage + knight - I did find ZixZax on the west entrance to the city.
2nd play through - survivalist + rogue - no ZixZax to be found - I tried leaving the city through each possible entrance/exit. Discovered almost entire map and still no sign of the little green.

oh zixzax where art thou ???

I bet that the difference is that on the second run, you did not either visit the crime scene or make a decision on the patients in Thelyron's clinic.

Indeed, I have not.
Didn't know green is triggered by any actions.

I thought you had to of touched a "Star Stone" to make him seek you out, that is what he talks to you about.

In the other play-through had you already fought the undead pirates?

Stabbey had it right. You need to do one of those two things before he seeks you out.

@ SirChet - in first playthrough I did look into the dead corpse of Jack and participated in choosing which patient should be healed. After that I did fight the pirates.
In the following play I focused more on fighting itself than solving murder quest and let it sit almost till the end of gameplay. Same with the patients treated by Evelyn.
After digging up the body of Jack - I still had no trigger on Zixzax. He showed up after I decided which patient should be healed.
